The first Hong Kong Forum was held with the theme “City Competitiveness” in World Trade Center, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong on December 15, 2011. Tung Chee Hwa, vice-chairman of the CPPCC, Leung Chun-ying, pre-convener of Executive Council, Hong Kong, Guo Li, deputy director of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Jason Hu, Mayor of Taichung, Lin Duo, mayor of Harbin, Wang Guoping, director of Standing Committee of Hangzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Li Zaiyong, mayor of Guiyang, Guo Ruimin, mayor of Xinyang, Zhou Jiankun, mayor of Anshun, and other government and business leaders from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan wrote an inscription for the forum. Gao Yuchen deputy commissioner of Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic Of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Liu Hanqi, deputy director of culture and sports propaganda department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Ling Jiaqin, director of Planning Department, Hong Kong, Yuan Wu and Liu Peiqiong, Hong Kong Deputy to the National People's Congress, and Liu Mengxiong, CPPCC member of Hong Kong were present at the forum. Huang Yebin, Huizhou municipal party Committee Secretary, Guo Ruimin, mayor of Xinyang, Zhou Jiankun, mayor of Anshun, Xu Jiaai, mayor of Jinhua, Sun De, deputy mayor of Zhaoqing, Li Dexi, deputy mayor of Mudanjiang, Ma Lisheng deputy secretary-general of the Xuzhou municipal government, and Huang Yi, deputy secretary-general of the Qinzhou municipal government, were present and delivered a keynote speech. The forum also run successfully.
